Merge Tags

The Merge Tag in Adflipr is a feature that lets you automatically insert personalized information into your emails or pages. A Merge Tag is a dynamic variable. Think of it like a smart placeholder that gets replaced with real data when the message is sent.

Instead of writing the same message for everyone, Merge Tags allow you to personalize it. For example: Instead of writing – Hello John, Hello {{FirstName}}. When the email is sent. The tag automatically pulls each person’s details from your contact list.

  • John sees → Hello John
  • Sarah sees → Hello Sarah
  • Mike sees → Hello Mike

Where Does the Data Come From?

Merge Tags use information stored in:

  • Your contact list
  • Lead capture forms
  • Email subscriber details

Common data fields include:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Company Name
  • Custom fields you created

Why Merge Tags Are Important

  1. Personalization- People are more likely to open and respond to emails that feel personal.

Example: Hi {{FirstName}}, we created this special offer just for you.

    2) Automation – You don’t have to manually edit emails for each person. One email can go to thousands, each one personalized automatically.

   3) Professional Marketing –

Personalized messages:

  • Increase open rates
  • Improve click rates
  • Build trust
  • Feel less “spammy”
